Doughnut Rounds Quilted Table Runner

Hi, and welcome to Sew Blue Thread.

This quilted table runner, is one where I was trying out a fabric line from Kate Spain, called ‘Honey Honey’ for Moda fabrics.  Love how the fresh colours go together.

On another note, the backing fabric came from Ikea.  It was a last minute snap decision to use this fabric. Glad I did, as it gives it a modern look.  This design is from Emma Jones.  The wadding inside this runner is a natural coloured one.  I thought it would make the white on the top layer appear off a little, but no.  The whites tops look white and the cream backing looks cream.  The thread was a cream colour as well.   100% cotton.  My favourite thread colour.  Haven’t ventured to use a coloured thread on these quilt projects yet.  Will try it some day.
